  • Cleon II and Plato side by side

My Phottix Cleon II went malfunctioning not long after I got it: when it's connected to my Nikon D700, the camera's play back button stop functioning. So I purchased the Phottix Plato N8 to replace it.

The Plato differ from the Cloen II in a few ways:

  • I visited the Wayfarers Chapel last September. At the time, the widest lens I have was the Nikkor 24-70mm. It wasn't wide enough to show what fabulous architecture and landscape the Wayfarers Chapel is. I got a 20mm wide angle lens now so I wend back and took a few new shots:

The Sun is setting West, whoever was sitting at this spot long long time ago must wonder what's out there where the Sun is going?

    The exterior of the Chapel

Beautiful interior. The tree behind the altar is dead now because of disease.

"Marry a dream, a dream that stole my soul" "...lucky guy, at least she leave you the money" "hu well, she took something really precious, all the money in the world cannot replace." "I would rather she take everything, all my money and a chance to see my beautiful girl."

  • A celebration of the Mid-autumn festival (a.k.a. the Moon festival) in the Central plaza of Los Angeles Chinatown. This is an annual event sponsored by the Chinatown Business Improvement District and included many artists performers. It attracted people from all over greater Los Angeles and it's a great opportunity to explore Los Angeles Chinatown.

Another notable annual event of Los Angeles Chinatown is the Golden Dragon parade celebrating the Chinese Luna New Year at around President's day. The upcoming Lunar New Year is February 14 2010, the year of the Tiger, Year 4707 in the Chinese Calendar (xx年). The Chinese calendar is a solar-lunar calendar: it adjust according to lunar an solar cycle. Many mistakenly call it the Lunar calendar.

  • This is a photo I took at the Getty Center in Los Angeles. The three trellises look like halos the Angels wear. So I wonder why Angels have halo on their heads. Is it like saying hello? Halo is hello, see?

Anything you want :)! Take it, all yours. But something very odd if you ask Google translate to translate these five simple Chinese characters. No matter what you ask it to translate from Chinese to English or English to Chinese, it gives you back Chinese! Google definitely knows what's going on and it's trying to tell everyone. Hope you get the message.

These five characters are the basic elements of life In the order above, they are: metal, wood, water, fire and earth. Fire is already taken by this guy so you can only have any of the restLaughing. Hurry to claim yours before they are gone.

    Don't be evil, be happy.
